La Grande Brera

La Grande Brera” is an expanded cultural complex in Milan that integrates the Pinacoteca di Brera, Palazzo Citterio, and the Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense, with the aim of uniting historical, modern, and contemporary art under single institutional vision. Opened in December 2024 with the inauguration of Palazzo Citterio, the project realizes a decades-long ambition to extend Brera’s capacity to exhibit 19th–20th century collections (such as the Jesi and Vitali holdings) in a dedicated space adjacent to the classical galleries.
