Codorníu Caves

Codorníu, founded in 1551, is Spain’s oldest cava producer and a symbol of tradition and innovation. With over 450 years of history, the winery has become a global reference in sparkling wine production. In 1872, Josep Raventós created Spain’s first cava using the traditional method, laying the foundation for Codorníu’s growth. The modernist cellars in Sant Sadurní, designed by architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch, were declared a national historic monument in 1976. Codorníu is known for its high-quality cavas, including Anna de Codorníu, the first cava made from Chardonnay grapes, and the Ars Collecta range, showcasing the finest craftsmanship. The winery is committed to sustainability and organic production, offering unique experiences such as tours, tastings, and events. Today, Codorníu continues to innovate while honoring its rich heritage and passion for exceptional cavas.
